This Notice is available in English and Bahasa Melayu. If there are any inconsistencies, the English version shall prevail.

1. About us

WannaScan Sdn. Bhd. is the operator of www.wannascan.com and WannaScan App (“Platform”).

We are registered in Malaysia with Company Registration Number: 202001014867 (1371187-X), and our registered office is at G.016, The Square, Jaya One, 72A, Jalan Universiti, Seksyen 13, 46200 Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

2. The information we are collecting

We collect information about you when you access our Platform and contact us.

This information includes and is not limited to:

  • your name or username
  • your profile picture
  • your gender
  • your date of birth
  • your mobile number
  • your location or device location

If you are our merchant,

  • your company name
  • your company registration number

3. Why do we need this information?

We need your permission to use this information for the purposes set out in section 4.2 of this Notice.

Without certain information, such as your name or mobile number, we cannot send you the rewards or loyalty points from our merchant and/or fulfil our legal responsibilities.

4. How do we use your information?

We do not sell or trade any of the information you provide to us.

We only use your information to:

  • register and confirm your identity
  • send you the latest offer, rewards or loyalty points
  • manage our contract with you and let you know of any changes
  • comply with legal, audit and accounting requirements
  • improve our services and your experience
  • send you marketing communications from us and selected third parties that we believe might interest you
  • reply to your questions, comments or any other request

If you are our merchant,

  • process your subscription, including receiving payment from you, and notify you of any updates about your subscription

5. How long do we keep your information?

If the purpose for which we collect them is no longer relevant, we will remove your information from our system.

6. Who do we share your information?

We might share your information with our service providers or merchant who support us in our business activities and for the purposes set out in this Notice.

Our service providers or merchant will not use or reveal your information for any purpose other than to provide services on our behalf and for the purposes set out in this Notice.

If the ownership of our business has changed, the new owner will acquire all of our rights and obligations regarding your information as set out in this Notice.

7. How we secure your information?

We have implemented security procedures and technical measures such as firewalls, encryption, limited access, and use passwords to secure your information.

Please keep in mind that the use of the Internet is not 100% safe. We, therefore, cannot guarantee the security or integrity of any information sent to or from you through the Internet.

8. Transfer to countries outside Malaysia

We use third-party providers to provide services to us or on our behalf, and some of them are located outside Malaysia.

In such cases, they will transfer your information beyond the border of Malaysia. We will take reasonable measures to ensure that adequate safeguards are in place to protect your information.

9. Your rights

You can:

  • Request corrections or updates to your information
  • Withdraw your consent or ask us to limit the processing of your information
  • Delete your account by sending an email to us at info@wannascan.com. Please email us your Name and Email Address for us to proceed with the account deletion.
  • Access a copy of the information we hold about you

10. Changes to this Notice

We can change this Notice by publishing an updated version of the Notice on our Platform.

By continuing to access our Platform, we consider that you have accepted these changes. If you do not accept such changes, please stop accessing our Platform immediately.
